Level 3 Undergraduate course covering IPCC WG 1 (Physical Basis) & 2 (Impacts), including visit to the Met Office Hadley Centre.

Brasil Fieldtrip

Level 2 field course visiting the Atlantic Forest Biome in SE Brasil. Based at Uniao Biological reserve, Rio de Janeiro State, we visit the Atlantic forest (Primary & Secondary), Restinga, Mangrove ecosystems and Mico Leao Dorado (Golden Lion Tamarin) conservation centre at Poco des Antos.

International Summerschool

A number of students from the US and Brasil with Fullbright and Santander scholarships attend our one week climate change summerschool. Here we give an overview of atmospheric circulation, climate change and focus on the role of land ecosystems in the climate system. We contrast the carbon stored in temperate forest ecosystems and peatlands.
